01

Covid-Relief Project

Through our inaugural project, fueled by a mix of social media fundraising and personal contributions, we successfully raised GHC 3,000 (approximately $548). This generous sum enabled us to provide a substantial donation of essential groceries and toiletries to support the 236 orphans residing in a care home located on the city's outskirts.

02

Maintenance Support Project

In our second donation drive, we successfully raised GHC 5,098 (approximately $881.24) through our social media efforts and personal contributions. This remarkable achievement allowed us to provide 230 bags of sachet water, 50 bags of charcoal for cooking, 10,000 liters of bulk water, and 250 sets of physical education uniforms to the Royal Seed Home.

03

Medical Screening

We implemented a thorough medical and nutritional assessment, led by qualified medical professionals, to verify the health and nutritional status of the children. This initiative was designed to identify and address any cases of malnutrition and ensure that all 250 children were maintaining good health. We expanded our efforts to include a detailed health screening, which involved a series of diagnostic tests for malaria, HIV, Hepatitis B, and typhoid. These screenings aimed to detect and prevent the spread of these conditions early, safeguarding the well-being of the children and providing them with a healthier foundation for growth and development.

04

Anniversary Project

Celebrating the first anniversary of our initiative, we proudly reflect on a year filled with impactful giving—donating books, clothes, shoes, and food to children of the New Life Nungua Children's Home. This milestone emphasized our commitment to uplift lives through essential support and education. Gratitude extends to our volunteers and supporters, whose dedication made these efforts possible. As we look back, we're inspired to continue our mission, driven by the collective belief in making a lasting difference in our community.

05

Street Child Project

In support of the Street Child Project, our contribution extended beyond basic necessities to include a variety of personal care and comfort items, aimed at improving the daily lives of street children in Accra.

We provided sandals to protect their feet from the harsh city streets, toothbrushes and toothpaste to promote oral hygiene, and bathing soaps for personal cleanliness. Recognizing the importance of safety in these challenging times, we also supplied nose masks to help mitigate health risks. To bring a touch of joy and normalcy to their lives, we donated drinks, bottled water, biscuits, and chocolate candies, offering them not just sustenance but also a momentary escape from their hardships.

06

Reproductive Health Project

In our concerted effort to address health and hygiene challenges among adolescent girls, we delivered one thousand (1000) hygiene products to girls residing in three different orphanages and provided reproductive health education to adolescents in the Bolga Municipality of the Northern Region of Ghana.

The overarching goal of this project was multifaceted: to reduce the incidence of urinary tract infections and other bacterial infections, debunk myths surrounding menstrual cycles, and impart crucial knowledge on menstrual management and reproductive health. This initiative aimed not only to promote good reproductive health practices but also to increase awareness of teenage pregnancies and related issues. To ensure the sustainability of the project, we established a local Reproductive Health Club. Adolescents in the community now gather biweekly for discussions on health and hygiene. In doing so, we engage local medical professionals, women community leaders and mentors to effectively and appropriately deliver this education.

07

Project Wardrobe

"Project Wardrobe - Providing School Uniforms and Clothes for Underprivileged Children" is an initiative dedicated to significantly improving the lives of 300 underprivileged children in Ghana through the donation of essential items. By supplying school uniforms, clothes, shoes, and school bags, this project directly addresses the basic needs of children, aiming to remove barriers to education and daily life that stem from a lack of proper attire.
By meeting these essential needs, the project lays the foundation for a brighter future for these children, demonstrating the profound impact that targeted support and kindness can have on young lives.

01

The TSR Foundation Fashion Show

In November 2020, GleeChild Initiative partnered with The Special's Resource Foundation to host a special fundraising event. The occasion featured a heartwarming fashion show involving children with special needs, aimed at raising funds to bolster the education, health, and overall development of "100" children grappling with brain injuries. Our aspiration is to witness these children gaining access to opportunities, receiving proper healthcare, and showcasing their often overlooked talents and abilities on meaningful platforms.
