Our Story
In Ghana, 1 in 4 children live in multidimensional poverty, lacking basic needs like food, healthcare, education, and shelter.
Over 1.2 million children are out of school, and many orphans grow up in under-resourced institutions with little support or attention.
GleeChild Initiative exists to change that.
We reach the forgotten—orphans and underprivileged children in hidden corners of Ghana—providing education, healthcare, food, clothing, and hope.
Our mission is simple: to ensure no child is left behind.
The Reality
Behind Ghana’s progress lies a silent crisis affecting its most vulnerable—orphans and underprivileged children.
- Many orphanages operate with little to no support, lacking food, clean water, and essential care.
Children in underserved communities often go days without proper meals or medical attention.
A child can be excluded from school simply because they lack a uniform or a notebook.
In some rural areas, access to basic necessities like toiletries, shoes, or sanitary pads is almost nonexistent.
These children are often invisible, excluded from national programs, and forgotten by mainstream aid.
At GleeChild, we don’t look away. We go where the need is greatest, helping children regain their dignity and dream again.

Collectively, we have a duty to our society. We are privileged in more ways than one and thus, our social responsibility to leverage this privilege to help the needy and disadvantageous.
I was driven to join GleeChild Initiative by a deep desire to support underprivileged children and individuals in communities across Ghana.

WHAT WE DO
We Find & Fund
We find communities and registered orphanages that are obscure and not in the mainstream. Our operations are funded through various social media campaigns and personal funds.
We Build Networks
We have a base of committed individuals and volunteers with their hearts set upon giving back to their community in any manner they can.
We Strengthen
We support the system of orphanages and underserved communities across the country by helping reinforce their backbone.
We Educate
We look forward to starting a mentorship program for eligible students to connect with students and professionals in the U.S. and beyond. We run programs that educate the public on the need to support orphanages and children in underserved communities.
We Provide Care
We donate a varying number of items that cover a spectrum of needs for the orphanages and communities. We also bring in medical experts to perform healthcare checks on the children to preempt disease.
